My Reality
I struggle with anxiety and depression every day of my life. It can be so much more exhausting and frustrating than many people can understand. But I get it. I've been there. I've been to rock bottom and back a few times. I understand what it's like having to drag yourself out of bed at 3:00 PM because if you don't get out of bed at least to go to the bathroom once that day you're going to hate yourself.
But that is why I decided to start this blog. Because I believe there have to be other people out there like me who struggle with some of the same things I do. So why not share it? Why not get some advice and lessons from people who have come out the other side and actually have seen the light? When I was at my lowest, all I wanted was someone to understand me. Someone to give me hope that I could make it out of that dark hole. And now, I want to be that person for you. You deserve to be happy. You deserve to know how to keep anxiety and depression from holding you back. And you're in the right place to figure that out.
Welcome to Your New Safe Space
First of all, I am so glad you're here. I really hope this blog can bring you some peace of mind when it comes to battling your mental health. You're not alone in this! I've got your back. Just picture me as that dashing swordsman fighting at your back, swinging at anxiety foes and depression monsters!
Okay, maybe don't do that. You get the point.
On this blog, my goal is to share experiences that help you find ways to overcome your own barriers that you struggle with. Feel free to contact me or leave a comment and share your own stories too! I want this to be a safe space for everyone to relate to each other, and help each other learn lessons that could literally save someone's life. So reach out! Share your stories. Let's make this a safe, cozy, comfortable space for everyone who visits The Relatable Room.
No, It Doesn't Have to Be Serious
If you know me, you know that after everything I say, there is probably a sarcastic comment or joke around the corner. I have done some pretty hilarious things in the past because of my anxiety, and even my depression! And yes, plenty of embarrassing things too. So don't be afraid to share those stories with me as well! Tell me all about the time you rolled all the way across your living room to get the remote cause you were too depressed to get up. Or about the time you literally forgot how to speak while seeing a friend at the grocery store because your anxiety was at an all-time high. I will let you in on all the embarrassing moments and silly things I have done as well. Deal?
